Cannabis could soon be legal in th UK

Institute of economic affairs has called on the government to rethink its policy on cannabis.

Britain's cannabis black market is believed to be worth over 2 billion pounds with over 3 million active users. Legalizing  cannabis would reduce crimes associated with cannabis, generate over a billion pounds in tax revenue, and reduce its burden in health and other public services. hris Snowdon, head of lifestyle economics at the IEA, said: “It’s high time for reform of cannabis policy in the UK.

The home secretary, Sajid Javid, recently launched a review into medical use of cannabis, following public pressure from the families of two children who have forms of intractable epilepsy that appear to be eased by the use of cannabis oil.
