For the first time in a very long time the German international team looked deflated.
Germany had never lost an opening game since 1982 and I bet todays defeat will leave a bitter taste in their mouths for many years to come.
Despite having good ball position; the German team appeared clueless each time there were in front of the Mexican goal post. Not trying to take anything away from the Mexican players who were simply sensational but Germany could have done a lot more. They could have been more decisive.
For millions of fans used to seeing high quality well rounded games from Germany, well todays game against Mexico left nothing to the imagination. Hopefully this is not a sign for what's to come.
Todays game showcased counter attacking football at its best.
